One of our favorite meals when we go camping or have quite a few people to cook for. It is easy to cook and easy to cleanup! Just one pot !
SHRIMP BOIL
Serves: 8
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Bottle Shrimp/Crab Boil Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 4 quarts water
- 2 Lemons cut in half
- 1 (12 ounce) can beer (Budweiser of course!)
- 16 Small red potatoes, whole if they are the really small ones, cut in half or quarters if they are the larger ones.
- 2 large Vidalia onions, cut in wedges
- 2 lbs smoked Sausage (We use Turkey Sausage, but you can use any type including hot links), cut in 2-3 inch lengths
- 8 ears frozen corn on the cob
- 4 lbs Large RAW Peeled Shrimp
DIRECTIONS
- In an 8-quart stock pot, bring bottle of Shrimp/Crab Boil Seasoning (1 Bottle), salt (2 TBLS), water and beer (1 Can) to a boil.
- Add potatoes (16 small) and onions (2 large); cook over high heat for 8 minutes.
- Add smoked sausage (2 lbs); continue to cook on high for 5 minutes.
- Add corn (8 ears) to pot; continue to boil for 7 minutes.
- Add shrimp (4 lbs), cook for 4 minutes.
- Drain liquid; pour contents of pot into several large bowls or shallow pails, or even on a cookie sheet!
- Sprinkle with additional Old Bay.
