Crockpot Venison Roast

If you are not a fan of the wild game taste of venison, you are going to love this recipe. It has an amazing flavor with none of the wild game taste!

The recipe will make it’s own gravy to pour over mashed potatoes or throw the potatoes in the crock pot with it.

Venison roast is simmered all day with packaged Au Jus, packaged Hidden Valley Ranch, Butter and Pepperoncini peppers in a crock pot.  This serves 6-8 people. So Delicious!

Ingredients: 

3 lb. beef or venison roast

1 – packet ranch dressing mix

1 – packet Au Jus mix

1/2 Cup Salted butter (1 stick)

8 – Pepperoncini peppers

Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  1. Add the meat, sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and Au Jus mix over the meat, place the stick of butter on top, place the peppers (8) around the meat, salt, and pepper to a 6-quart oval crockpot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or high 4-5 hours until meat is tender.
  3. Take two forks and shred the meat in the juice.
  4. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
